Laguna Beach’s new Nike store opened quietly earlier this month, without the fanfare we’d expect from a company first: Never before have all of the company’s action-sports brands (Nike 6.0, Hurley, Converse, and Nike SB) been together under one roof. From the look of it, they’re getting along just fine.

The Nike Air Hoop Structure has been released in a new colorway, as part of the Nike Fall 2009 Collection. As the name implies, the shoe is a basketball make up of the classic Nike Air Structure Triax ‘91. While the typical hybrid has crossed a two designs from a single type, this breaks a mold generating a basketball shoe from a runner. The sole has been modified, the heel counter raised, but at essence the Air Structure Triax sings through. Here it comes in a white/turquoise/orange colorway. You can get it now from Proper.

nike-tennis-ball-hypermaxThe Nike Hypermax is sure to turn some heads up coming with the release of a tennis ball inspired version. The performance basketball shoe is almost entirely decked out in that iconic tennis ball yellow with the added bonus of felt marking many parts of the upper. The tongue is made of mesh for breathability. No word yet on a availability.
