The wait is finally over as there are some images of the 2010 Mercedes Benz SLS AMG have floated onto the internet. Obvious resemblance to the classic 300SL “Gulwing” is evident in styling but that is where the similarities end. Front/midship V8 6.3 litre engine makes use of most of the AMG technology that is connected to a seven speed dual clutch transmission punching out 563 hp at 480 lb-ft of torque.

Performance stats include 0-100 km/h time of 3.7 seconds, a 0-200 km/h (124 mph) time of 9.7 seconds, and a top speed of 335 km/h (208 mph). The Gemballa Mirage GT Matt Edition will be sold in extremely limited numbers with a price tag of roughly $420,000.
