powdered-drinks

“According to India Times, a Russian Professor has evolved a technique that turns alcohol into powder, thereby allowing it to be packed into in pills. This is a really good/bad idea.

“Dry vodka can be wrapped in paper and carried around in a pocket or a bag. Vodka in form of a pill would come in handy at parties when “consumers” would be able to calculate their exact required dosage.””

pay-onthego

“Twitter looks like they are not a one hit wonder. Check out the new startup from co-founder Jack Dorsey called Square, a mobile payments company. “Square allows anybody with a cell phone or laptop that has a headphone jack to accept credit card payments using a small plug-in dongle, rather than having to purchase costly credit-card processing equipment“. It’s in beta(private beta, that is) and basically means you’re a walking store selling shit on the go. Nice Job!”

6a00d8341cc8d453ef01157223c6ac970b-800wiForget about the funny glasses: Fuji’s just-announced FinePix Real 3D W1 point-and-shoot camera lets you shoot stills and video with the 3-D look sans specs. The secret? Two lenses, each with its own perspective and focal point, snap separate images, which are then combined digitally to—ostensibly—blow your freaking mind.

Make your own lane….The device attaches to the back of your bike frame and an illuminated bike lane appears instantly. Although the LightLane isn’t available to the public just yet, this product will give bikers the space they need on those all too many roads without bike lanes. I think a better use would be to sell advertising to bike messengers….two for one Domino’s Pizza delivers….

wolframalpha

Touted as a threat to Google’s search-engine dominance, Wolfram Alpha doesn’t warrant the comparison. The site is a different beast altogether, considered a “computational knowledge engine” by British founder Stephen Wolfram. It’s more of an answer-engine that relies on its curated knowledge base of data, rather than rounding up websites based on keywords. Boasting north of 10 trillion pieces of data and over 50,000 algorithms, Wolfram instead draws from sources like the U.S. Census reports, the CIA World Factbook and even Wikipedia.
