Do you remember those Sunday evenings at the nail salon where the sound of nail files scratched, and the smell of acetone stung the roof of your nostrils…you would catch several glimpses of the cheese and bright illustrations and photography placed around the plastered walls. It’s funny because a lot of the illustrations you would see would be by the same exact painter, and you would have NO idea.

I’m sure he never meant to be such a trades art-icon, but Patrick Nagel’s 80’s fashion illustrations have grown quite the popularity with beauticians and cosmotologists.
